About Us
About Our Firm
Our firm’s core clients were established by James Maxwell a former Public Accountant in Neligh, Nebraska in the Mid 1960s. In 1986 Brian Christiansen bought the practice from James Maxwell, and then changed the name to Brian Christiansen, CPA. Brian was fortunate enough to have Mr. Maxwell stay on for a few years to help transition the clients. The late 1980s Brian purchased Forest Maple’s practice who was a former tax preparer in Neligh, Nebraska. In 1993 Brian bought another core group of clients from Leon McCoy. Brian was able to employ Diane Nelson who had formally worked for Leon McCoy to join his staff after McCoy’s retirement to help transition and take care of the clients from McCoy’s practice. December of 2005 is when Bearinger Tax & Accounting, LLC was formed by Jarod Bearinger. This organization was formed to help make a smooth transition of ownership so that Brian Christiansen could transitioning out of the business.
